Counselling
With over 30 years of experience, I offer a warm, supportive, and professionally grounded space where you can explore what is happening in your life - at your pace, and in your own way. My approach is rooted in established psychological practice and informed by contemporary neuroscience, helping you understand not just what you are experiencing, but why.
As an accredited member of the Irish Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (IACP), I work to the highest professional and ethical standards, providing a safe, confidential, and respectful environment for every client.
Our brains and nervous systems are shaped by experience. Stress, trauma, attachment patterns, and life events all influence how we think, feel, and respond to the world. By understanding the neuroscience behind anxiety, low mood, overwhelm, and relational difficulties, we can begin to gently shift patterns that may feel stuck or automatic. Therapy becomes not just a space to talk, but a space for meaningful change - building emotional regulation, resilience, and self-awareness.
I work with adults facing a wide range of concerns, including:
- Anxiety and panic
- Stress and burnout
- Depression and low mood
- Grief and loss
- Trauma and adverse life experiences
- Relationship and attachment difficulties
- Life transitions and identity changes
- Self-esteem and confidence issues
- Work-related challenges
- Emotional regulation difficulties
- Anger management
- Personal development and growth
- Navigating menopause and midlife changes
- Coping with illness or caring for others
Whether you are coming with a specific difficulty or a more general sense that something doesn’t feel right, our work together will be collaborative and tailored to you. I believe lasting change happens when insight is combined with practical tools - when we support both the mind and the nervous system.
My aim is to help you feel understood, steadied, and empowered - so that you can move forward with greater clarity, balance, and confidence.
If you’re considering counselling, you’re very welcome to get in touch for an initial conversation to see if we feel like a good fit.
